well it surely has been an interesting week: from now on my periods
will be selicolons because this computer has no english setting and it
will take some time to get used to it: first things first lets start off
with a nice little write up on my new companion
Elder bouqet
age: 27
months on mission: 10
Interests: he likes to sing japanese anime themes songs, he loves
dragonball z, and he was sure to bring all his pokemon cards on his
mission:
needless to say this week has been tough: the first glimpse i had
of my new apartment was not all that great: it was a complete mess,
there was pasta all over the floor and crumbs everywhere dishes were
piled up as far as they could be: i did not stand for that for a single
minute: i dropped my things and told elder b that we will not go
anywhere until the apartment was clean: he thought. it was clean.
fabulous i discovered the english setting on this computer now i will
not longer write like a cavemen. haha. ok so yes i cleaned the entire
apartment while he read. I guess he didn't think that the mold that was
on the wall was a big deal.
second crazy incident this week: Now a person's delicates are well
deicate to that person and i'm sure all the readers at home know what i
am talking about. ok so yes the first morning after unpacking all my
things i find delicates that are a little bizarre and i don't think
there mine. now i know my delicates better than anyone and they weren't
mine. they were Elder b's. this was a little weird needless to say and i
comfronted him and he didn't see what the problem was.
i can tell that this transfer is going to be a very very
interesting one. elder b seems to know absolutely nothing about the area
so i have to do all the finding. man i really miss my papa elder thomas
right now. today we spent nearly double what i'm used to spending on my
groceries. elder b needed to buy himself some fish, some crabm some
chocolate bread, and 20 ham and cheese crepes. i think i will do the
shopping on my own next week and let elder b fend for himself.
well as a cause of a letter i received from brook gledhill saying
she wrote me because of my pathetic attempt to get people to write me on
my blog i'm going to put my address on here because i need to letters
more than ever.
5 Imp. 10 rue de metz
87000 Tours, France
there it is. one great highlight of the week was getting to see all
my buddies from the mtc. there is never a brighter face than elder barr
shortly after a haircut. simply wonderful. catching up and hearing all
their stories were so great. man i miss them! i literally dream that one
day i will get to serve with one of them. we might have a little too
much fun but that would be ok with me no doubt.
as far as lessons go we have none. elder b forgot the names of 3 of
the amis that werent in the area book so there was no way i could help
him with it or anything. it is very frustrating and i have been trying
to work on my patient a lot. hopefully this will be a great testimony
builder for me. hopefully we get some lessons pouring in because
contacting for 6 hours a day isn't the best way to do missionary work
and it isn't the most enjoyable either.
well i love you all
gros bisous
elder oliverson
