Week Two with the Pokemon master!

well i lived another week: surely it wasnt easy but i did it: once again i cant change the setting to english because we switched internet cafes and the computer is different: oh well: deal with the colons

uhm this week was kind of terribly long: in fact it seemed like a lifetime: things are going fine; better than last week at least: i actually forgot to mention some interesting facts about elder b: he is missing a finger; yes he is missing his right index finger: right now he is on the computer chicken pecking away; he only types with 2 fingers:

there was some exciting news though; we set 2 baptismal dates! it was great! both times in the lesson elder b was in the middle of giving the invite and forgot what he was saying so he had to start over: it took away from the spirit a bit but it pulled through nontheless:

i might make a habit of asking people to do things for me through my blog so here is mine for this week: somebody record and save the bachelor with bradley cooper: he is my favorite: i would be on the bachelor if it meant that i got to hang out with him; i could play bachelorette for a while! haha: other exciting news is i just got my hair cut by a guy from iraq so that was exciting: i look good as always so dont worry:The weather is nice, cold, but im still loving what i am doing for the lord.  i cant go into depth really this week but i will more next week when i have my english setting back: till the next time!

Did i mention that pokemon Master only brushes his teeth unless I tell him to. So therefore he didnt brush his teeth for three whole days!

Hoping for the best!

well it surely has been an interesting week: from now on my periods will be selicolons because this computer has no english setting and it will take some time to get used to it: first things first lets start off with a nice little write up on my new companion
Elder bouqet
age: 27
months on mission: 10
Interests: he likes to sing japanese anime themes songs, he loves dragonball z, and he was sure to bring all his pokemon cards on his mission:

needless to say this week has been tough: the first glimpse i had of my new apartment was not all that great: it was a complete mess, there was pasta all over the floor and crumbs everywhere dishes were piled up as far as they could be: i did not stand for that for a single minute: i dropped my things and told elder b that we will not go anywhere until the apartment was clean: he thought. it was clean. fabulous i discovered the english setting on this computer now i will not longer write like a cavemen. haha. ok so yes i cleaned the entire apartment while he read. I guess he didn't think that the mold that was on the wall was a big deal.

second crazy incident this week: Now a person's delicates are well deicate to that person and i'm sure all the readers at home know what i am talking about. ok so yes the first morning after unpacking all my things i find delicates that are a little bizarre and i don't think there mine. now i know my delicates better than anyone and they weren't mine. they were Elder b's. this was a little weird needless to say and i comfronted him and he didn't see what the problem was.

i can tell that this transfer is going to be a very very interesting one. elder b seems to know absolutely nothing about the area so i have to do all the finding. man i really miss my papa elder thomas right now. today we spent nearly double what i'm used to spending on my groceries. elder b needed to buy himself some fish, some crabm some chocolate bread, and 20 ham and cheese crepes. i think i will do the shopping on my own next week and let elder b fend for himself.

well as a cause of a letter i received from brook gledhill saying she wrote me because of my pathetic attempt to get people to write me on my blog i'm going to put my address on here because i need to letters more than ever.

there it is. one great highlight of the week was getting to see all my buddies from the mtc. there is never a brighter face than elder barr shortly after a haircut. simply wonderful. catching up and hearing all their stories were so great. man i miss them! i literally dream that one day i will get to serve with one of them. we might have a little too much fun but that would be ok with me no doubt.

as far as lessons go we have none. elder b forgot the names of 3 of the amis that werent in the area book so there was no way i could help him with it or anything. it is very frustrating and i have been trying to work on my patient a lot. hopefully this will be a great testimony builder for me. hopefully we get some lessons pouring in because contacting for 6 hours a day isn't the best way to do missionary work and it isn't the most enjoyable either.

well i love you all
gros bisous

I'm going to Tours

I'm going to Tours. I'm in the Orleans district so I just put that. Tour is where France first began. It also has the purest French in the world. The purest means that they speak perfectly. It's funny because Brussels has some dirty French. But ya there are lots of castles and stuff, so actually it's Tours not Orleans. My companion is from near Bordeaux. Rumors are that he is extremely French and a bit crazy. It's going to be a different experience. As well as pure French Tours is rumored to have 2 universities that's just a little bit about my area the address is:

Im Getting Transfered

UNO

Lee, guitierrez, Nielson, Thomas, me

Well this week surely felt like nothing short of an eternity. I feel like the end of last transfer felt this way too. Maybe the anxiety is rising because being transferred is an actuality this time. Overall it was a nice week though. Monday was an all day P-day which in the missionary world is nothing short of a miracle. I love Elder Barr's sister. What do missionaries do with free time you may ask? Well you can probably take the path of safety and guess sleep which is correct for the most part, but we aren't boxes there are more than four sides to us. We took the chance to travel across Brussels (by across i mean to the other area which we actually live in so it wasn't much of a trip at all) and play UNO with our fellow missionaries. UNO is a simple game as everyone knows, but it is unlike any other when you are missionaries. We played for hours on Monday, three hours to be exact. Never has making another person draw four been more fun than in the heat of the moment as a missionary. Christlike attributes can be found throughout the game of UNO. You give to people by allowing them to take more cards. That's one that I noticed the very most.

Oh goodness that was a great night. It ended all too soon, but there was hope on the horizon. We had a day of rest Tuesday and my head hit the pillow with dreams that I maybe could play UNO once again with my beloved missionaries. The day of rest began with some hardcore basketball at the church. Now you may think hardcore is just a filler word I used to spice up this blog entry a little, but honestly it is quite the contrary. By hardcore I mean hardcore. I am still trying to recover from the soreness i accumulated while playing endless rounds of lightening and endless three on three games. I would like to have everyone know that i won 8 rounds of lightening in a row. So if anyone wants to relay my stats to Stew I'm sure the Aggies would like to pick up a nice 5'9 point guard. Just a thought. Then it came! The zone leaders invited us to play UNO with them! YAY! It was another intense round. Tensions were high as usual, but we all came out loving in the end because that's what Christ would do. Another Christlike attribute forgiveness, you must forgive someone if they are obligated to skip you or reverse you so you don't get a turn.

Other than that the week was pretty normal. We found some new good people, but I won't mention them in the blog till things get a little more serious. I must say though that my favorite part about the mission is being able to give everyday of my life. I just give and give to people and honestly I don't see really anything in return, but it is such a good feeling to give to people I love everyday. That's one things I've taken from it. What's money really? Money spent on others is money spent the right way so this week I challenge all of you to give a little part of you to someone. There is a quote from ralph waldo emmerson that says: The only gift is a portion of thyself. I know this is a little late because Christmas was a few weeks ago, but why should we limit ourselves to Christmas? Always give! That's my little spiritual message this week.
