New Companion

back to the french keyboard so i am sorry: this week was so awesome! my new companion and i are very very similar: we like all the same music and we can talk about zelda and quote movies together its great: we have also been doing some good work: we went porting one day when it was so terribly cold that we both wanted to die: things were tough and our jaws were literally frozen so it was extremely difficult to even talk: of course the last house we knocked and this guy came out and let us in! it was crazy! we have a rdv with him this wednesday: also yesterday it was snowing super hard; so hard that we could barely see; like good thing this lady was african or she would have blended into the snow! anyway, we started talking to her and ended up sharing the proclamation to the family with her and her family! i was so pumped! i think we are like the snow troopers or something because we are just finding new investigators in the snow, also we have dubbed ourselves batman and robin: this was my idea because in tour there are tons of these enourmous batiments which is building in french, shorten that and you have bat: we decided we are going to port all of them: after our miracle lady we found a large bat and i broke in by slipping in when someone was making a call! i think that is most of the reason that i like doing bat porting, because you have to break in! brings me back to my pre mission days; anyways we ported this bat and have a rdv set up for each day this week except saturday which we will fill with this family i found on tuesday!!!

things are so much different now that me and my comp are clicking and i only see it going up from here, readers might think it a bad idea to put 2 identical people together, especially if its someone as crazy as me, but people love us and we make people laugh almost every contact! you could say we are killing people with kindness!!

Final Week With the French Terror

well this week is my final week with the french terror. i have survived and now i get a new companion named elder foley. he is about 6 foot 6 and was just a zone leader with one of my good friends elder nielson. i am super excited. this week was a very interesting one needsless to say but actually it hasn't didn't get too interesting till yesterday

so every final sunday for each missionary they give a parting testimony. well good ol elder b took that to the next level and he decided that he wanted to give a parting 15 minute talk. that's not all. he forgot what he was talking about and promptly knelt next to the pulpit and offered a work of prayer. i guess that prayer consisted of him asking god to tell him what he was talking about. this prayer didn't get an immediate answer and he was left dumbfounded at the pulpit. i might have been a little bit embarrassed but whatever i'm a misionary.

today he also pulled a great trick. he tried to play waiter and hold 2 plates of sphagetti and bread. let's just say he dropped them and they shattered everywhere. i had no words my wits have been tested more than once this transfer and i am lucky i am still alive thinking about all the stuff i went through. i am going to give this transfer a song. that song is, be calm by fun. just listen to it and you will know all of my feelings this transfer

The bathroom Spounge..

oh man do i have some stories for this week! so tuesday we had an exchange and i mean it was a good exchange we had lots of fun and elder miller is a great guy. needless to say i was a little worried as to what the apartment would look like when i returned. i came home and it wasn't a complete disaster so i was pleased. elder bouqet was even doing the dishes so it was a nice surprise. then the worst thing that could ever happen happened. he was doing the dishes with a sponge i had only seen a few times before. it wasn't the sponges we bought for the dishes and that was defnite. i asked him where he got the sponge and of course he couldn't remember so i had to put on my sherlock holmes cap and do some searching. let's just say i am a little better of a detective than sherlock holmes. i went straight to the bathroom and found that the sponge we'd been cleaning the bathroom with for 6 weeks was missing. yes he was cleaning the dishes with a toilet sponge. at this point my emotions were like a tsunami. i was sick to my stomach while being depressed and angry. what 27 year old doesn't know that you don't use the same sponge on the dishes as you used on the toilet. things grew from there and we had ourselves a nice little arguement.
continuing with wednesday. he decided at about 9:45 he was going to bake something. well he burnt not baked and the apartment was filled with smoke so he opened all the windows. i was snuggled in my bed reading jesus the christ. the time came to go to sleep and i thought the apartment was just warming up again because it was pretty cold. well that wasn't the case. he had left a window open and now as a result of the dirty toilet sponge and the window open i am terribly ill. but i mean that's what you get when you live with a 27 year old frenchman right?
today i did a little experiment with our shopping. i went down every aisle to look at things. all i did was look never said anything to elder b. it turns out that almost every aisle he bought something. he spent 44 euros today shopping and i spent 20. we are alotted about 40 euros a week so i hope he can get that money back somehow. this is my life with a frenchman and hopefully this is my last week
avec amour
